Who I am:

I am a midwestern gal who is currently seeking employment in the field of web design or in the field of meteorology.

How I got involved in web design:

I got started in web design in 1999 when my former employer asked me to take over the maintenance of the company's website. I had re-designed that site several times since then. I also took over maintenance for a sister company's website and re-designed another sister company website.

My training and experience:

I have no formal training in web design at this time. However, I do have real-world experience ... whether it be with my personal websites for with websites for others.

I started out using Netscape Composer to design websites since that was all that was available to me at the time. I eventually began to use Dreamweaver and continue to do so. I have also begun to use HTML-Kit to hand code my websites, including this one.

I have experience coding in (X)HTML, php, and CSS. I also have experience working with mySQL databases. I also have experience working with Paint Shop Pro to create basic graphics and/or alter images. I also have experience installing and customizing MovableType, phpBB, and Gallery.
